Merrimack women’s track finishes eighth at MAAC indoor championships

Merrimack College’s women’s track and field team secured eighth place at the MAAC Indoor Track and Field Championships in New York, finishing with 38 team points.

The relay team consisting of Lillian Warner, Isabella Tomic, Rebecca Russalesi, and Riley Paskow earned a podium finish in the 4×400 meter relay, recording a time of 3:53.96.

In individual events, Marianna Collins placed fourth in the 1 mile final with a time of 5:00.97. Lily Thomas finished eighth in the same event with a time of 5:07.52.

Katie Sills achieved fourth place in the women’s pole vault by clearing a height of 3.65 meters.

Riley Paskow and Rebecca Russalesi finished fourth and fifth respectively in the 400 meter final, posting times of 56.91 seconds and 57.08 seconds.

Bella Hayes came in fifth place in the shot put event with a throw measuring 12.28 meters.

Another Merrimack relay team—composed of Caroline White, Marianna Collins, Olivia Guckian, and Lily Thomas—finished seventh in the 4×800 meter race with a combined time of 9:29.41.
