Merrimack women’s track and field secures four wins at George Davis Invitational

The Merrimack Women’s Track and Field team achieved four victories and nine podium finishes during the George Davis Invitational held on Friday and Saturday in Lowell, Massachusetts.

The event saw strong performances from several team members. Marianna Collins took first place in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:37.59, while Olivia Guckian finished fourth at 4:45.07. Riley Paskow won the 200 meter dash in 24.56 seconds, with teammates Madison DeCamp and Lillian Warner placing fourth and fifth respectively.

Rebecca Russalesi secured second place in the 800 meter run, clocking in at 2:17.40. Paskow also earned second place in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.15 seconds, followed by Warner and Jennifer Baker who finished fifth and sixth.

In relay events, Grace Bleyer, Jennifer Baker, Piper Testa, and Madison DeCamp were runners-up in the 4×100 meter relay with a time of 48.36 seconds. In field events, Caitlin Garrahy claimed third place in the hammer throw with a mark of 46.02 meters.

Other notable results included Gabby Hayes winning the discus throw open event with a mark of 33.36 meters; Bleyer earning third place in triple jump; Elizabeth Murphy finishing fifth in high jump; Carlie Cronin placing sixth in pole vault; Bella Hayes finishing seventh in shot put; as well as multiple top-ten finishes across other track distances.
