Nick Tidik achieved a career high of 20 kills for the Merrimack College men’s volleyball team against Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras on Apr. 17, but the Gallitos secured a 3-1 win.
The match marked the end of the 2026 season for Merrimack. The team’s performance included several individual milestones despite the loss.
Tidik’s standout game also featured seven block assists, setting another personal best. Dallas Birkenbeuel contributed with a double-double, recording 13 kills and 10 digs. Nathaniel Venegas reached his own milestone with a career high of 10 kills, while Blake Taschner blocked five shots, also a personal record. Max Tkachev added eight kills to Merrimack’s effort.
The match highlighted both individual achievements and team effort as players set new records in their final game of the year.
Merrimack College men’s volleyball expressed gratitude to supporters and indicated anticipation for next year’s competition.
