The No. 8/10 nationally ranked Endicott baseball team defeated Brandeis, 5-3, in non-conference action on Friday evening at Stein Diamond.

WP (4-0): Chris Jenkins (Mansfield, Mass.) — 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 KLP (2-1): Marc Maestri (Katonah, N.Y.) — 2/3 IP, 2 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 0 KSV (5): Max Tarlin (Sharon, Mass.) — 2 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K

Trailing 3-1 in the sixth inning, the Gulls rallied for three runs behind clutch hits from Jake Nardone (Wakefield, Mass.) and Caleb Shpur (East Canaan, Conn.) to extend their winning streak to three straight games.

Nardone drove in one run with a single to right field, while Shpur plated a pair later in the frame with a base knock to take a 4-3 lead.

Nardone also knocked in an insurance run in the ninth with another RBI single, which proved pivotal as Tarlin stranded the game-tying run at third base with a fly out to right to end it.
