City of Amesbury Begins Search for New Fire Chief
The City of Amesbury is conducting a search for a new Fire Chief, following Chief Ken Berkenbush formally retiring in June 2022. Since July 2022, Deputy Chief Jim Nolan has been acting Chief and former Amesbury Fire Chief William Shute has been the Chief Administrative Officer. Together, they will continue to lead the department until a new permanent Chief is appointed by Mayor Kassandra Gove.
