Providence defeats Stonehill 11-0; Marblehead alum Lauren Donovan pitches in loss

The Stonehill Skyhawks, featuring former Marblehead High School standout Lauren Donovan, were defeated 11-0 by the Providence Friars in their NCAA Division II softball contest on Wednesday, March 11, at 2 p.m.

Held at Glay Field, this was the teams’ second meeting of the season. In the prior contest on Wednesday, March 11, the Skyhawks fell to the Friars by a score of 10-1.

Donovan pitched 0.2 innings, allowing three earned runs and giving up two walks.

Stonehill is set to play again on Saturday, March 14, with a 1 p.m. game at Fr. William Gartland Field against the Wagner Seahawks.
