Gabriel Qureshi and Nathan Molina secured wins for the Merrimack Warriors Men’s Track & Field team at the Harvard Invitational held Friday at Gordon Indoor Track in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Qureshi finished first in the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.40 seconds, winning by three-tenths of a second among 54 competitors. He also placed on the podium in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.05 seconds.
In the relay events, John Azpiri-Sudusky, Keith Townsend, Elizardo Melenciano, and Gabriel Qureshi together finished second in the 4×400 meter relay, clocking in at 3:22.05.
Nathan Molina won the Open Long Jump event with a distance of 7.02 meters. Brian Gallagher earned a top-five finish in that event as well with a jump of 6.56 meters.
Other notable performances included Hunter Schobel’s eighth-place finish in the Open Triple Jump (12.85 meters), while Keith Townsend and Nathan Molina cleared six meters in the high jump to place ninth and eleventh respectively.
In field events, Grant Eastin placed eighth in the Championship Men’s Weight Throw (16.46 meters), and Jude Ibarra was ninth in the Open Weight Throw (13.99 meters).
