The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced on April 27 that seven members of the Merrimack Warriors men’s golf team have been selected for the conference’s All-Academic Team, marking the second highest total among participating schools.
The recognition highlights academic achievement among student-athletes in the conference. To qualify for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have completed two semesters at their institution and maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
This year’s honorees from Merrimack are Anthony Novack (Senior, Business Administration), JR Robinson (Senior, Business Administration), Saketh Hegde (Senior, Finance), Brendan Zinck (Junior, Business Administration), Nate Crowley (Sophomore, Undeclared Business), Quinn Lapinski (Sophomore, Finance), and Sean Roddy (Sophomore, Finance).
The announcement comes as the Warriors prepare to compete in the conference’s three-day championship event starting Tuesday in Florida.
Selection to the MAAC All-Academic Team recognizes not only athletic ability but also consistent performance in academics over multiple semesters. The presence of seven Warriors reflects both individual dedication and support from academic staff within Merrimack athletics.
Looking ahead, these student-athletes will represent both their school and their commitment to academic success as they participate in this week’s championship.
