On Saturday, March 14, Southern Connecticut State Owls, featuring former Tilton School star Tish Blackwood, were defeated 61-51 by the Holy Family Tigers in the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament.
The contest, which began at 7:30 p.m., was held at James Moore Field House and marked the Owls’ first tournament game against Holy Family.
Merrimack College Women’s Lacrosse edged out Manhattan University with an 8-7 win on senior day. Key performances included Sophia Ingenito’s two goals and assists as well as strong defensive efforts from Mia Juvelier.
These former North Boston area high school standouts will be active on Sunday, April 12.
Merrimack College’s baseball team fell short against Northeastern after twelve innings, losing 11-10. Key performances included Matt DeShiro’s home run and Brooks Craigue’s three hits.
