Former ACCHS and Lehigh University soccer star Gina Lewandowski reflects on career before final pro game. The most accomplished player in Lehigh Valley women’s soccer history, Lewandowski was The Morning Call’s Girls Soccer Player of the Year at ACCHS in 2003. She was the Patriot League Player of the Year at Lehigh. After graduating from Lehigh with a degree in biology, she played professionally in Europe for several years.
In 2011, she played in Western New York — before returning to the U.S. with SkyBlue in New Jersey in 2019. SkyBlue rebranded as Gotham FC in 2021. In 2015 she trained with the national team as they prepared for the Rio Olympics. She earned coaching licenses in 2018 and has directed clinics in Germany, Tunisia and the Lehigh Valley.
