Congratulations to ACCHS alumna Shauvaun Fisher Mull who was inducted into the Lehigh Valley Softball Hall of Fame! Mull was a member of three ACCHS Girls Basketball league championship teams and also won a state gold with the Vikettes in 2004. The granddaughter of ACCHS legend George Kinek, she made her biggest mark as a two-time Morning Call Pitcher of the Year and the Lehigh Valley Conference Pitcher of the Year as a senior in 2007.
She had 307 strikeouts as a junior in 2006 when she led the Vikettes to a district title and the state semifinals with PIAA 3A victories CAPA from the Philadelphia Public League and District 3 power Muhlenberg Township. She struck out 20 and scored the winning run in the 12th inning to lead ACCHS to the 2-0 win over the Muhls in the state quarters to send the program to the state semis for its first and only time.
As a senior in 2007, she was the area’s most dominant pitcher and had a 26-strikeout game in a 3-2 loss to Bethlehem Catholic in 13 innings. Mull followed up her extraordinary high school career with a terrific career at Bloomsburg University where she went 72-18 with 666 career strikeouts and an ERA of 1.1.
