Ms. DosSantos started a Spanish Club at SHS this year

Ms. DosSantos started a Spanish Club at SHS this year

Ms. DosSantos started a Spanish Club at SHS this year. They meet day 2 during falcon period and have 20 members as of now. The goal is to get students that are interested in Spanish language and/or hispanic/latin culture to come together to celebrate it in many different ways. They decided that they wanted to highlight some of the main hispanic/latin cultures represented in our school. So, the first country on the list is México.  If you are at SHS, check out the bulletin board that showcases some aspects of Mexican culture outside of room 117, and participate in the following events on TUESDAY, DECEMBER 20TH!

BEFORE SCHOOL: Spanish Club representatives will be passing out handmade paper Marigolds, a traditional Mexican flower, while playing our SHS Spanish Club Playlist. (Get access to our Apple Music or Spotify versions below:)) *Note: The playlist encompasses music and artists from all parts of the Spanish-speaking world, not just Mexico, many different genres, and decades, too.

DURING LUNCHES: Spanish Club representatives will be offering samples of traditional Mexican Aguas Frescas. There will be two flavors to choose from, Samples will be small so that supplies last for all 3 lunches. But we hope you enjoy the opportunity to try something that might be new to you! P.S. - It is supposed to be Taco Tuesday in the cafe:) They may not be authentic, but we can all enjoy them just the same!
