Men’s Rugby Goes 4-1 At Brown 7s Tournament | https://www.ecgulls.com/
The nationally ranked Endicott men's rugby team posted a 4-1 record at the Brown University 7s Tournament on Sunday evening.
The Gulls defeated Rhode Island twice (31-0, 19-7) and went 2-1 against Brown (L, 7-0; W, 17-10; W, 26-12).
Offensively, Kyle Ernest (Severna Park, Md.) exploited both defenses with his kicking and speed, while Jonathan Taylor (Chicago, Ill.) utilized his speed to wreak havoc on the pitch.
Defensively, Ryan Cafferky (Medford, Mass.), Peter Roche (Arlington, Mass.), and Jordan Chappell (Sunapee, N.H.) all made massive tackles to keep the opposition at bay.
Newcomer Robert Genaway (Hinsdale, Mass.) also sparked the defense with some impressive tackling that led to multiple scores in his first collegiate match.
