Thirteen Merrimack College softball players were named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Academic Team, according to a May 5 announcement by the conference.
The recognition highlights student-athletes who have demonstrated strong academic performance while participating in collegiate athletics. To qualify for the MAAC All-Academic Team, student-athletes must complete two semesters at their institution and maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
The Merrimack athletes selected include Madeline Arvai, Abby Choquette, Kiele Coleman, Anna Gedacht, Madi Gibeault, Caity Lemay, Madison Metcalf, Alex Miller, Brandi Neil, Emma Prahin, Sam Russalesi, Samantha Sosnovich and Jordan Theriault. The group represents a range of academic disciplines such as human development and teacher education; civil engineering; exercise science; psychology; business administration; neuroscience; electrical engineering; biochemistry; biology; criminology and criminal justice; and sport analytics.
This recognition reflects both athletic commitment and academic achievement among members of the Merrimack Warriors women’s softball team. The selection process emphasizes not only athletic ability but also dedication to studies across diverse fields.
