Trinity Bantams top MIT Engineers 16-7 in NCAA Division III baseball

Former St. John’s Preparatory School athlete Drew McGowan helped his college team, the Trinity Bantams, secure a 16-7 win against the MIT Engineers in their NCAA Division III baseball contest Saturday, March 7, at 1:30 p.m.

The game was played at Murren Family Field at DiBenedetto Stadium and marked the teams’ second meeting of the season. In their earlier contest on Saturday, March 7, the Bantams earned a 5-4 win over the Engineers.

McGowan pitched four innings, allowing two earned runs, walking three and striking out two.

The Bantams are set to play Concordia Wisconsin Falcons next, scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday, March 15, at Admiral Fetterman Field at Blue Wahoos Stadium.
