The Merrimack Warriors men’s volleyball team will travel to Dominican College for a match on Friday, March 26. This will be the team’s second visit to Dominican this season, with the match scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
The matchup is significant as it marks the third meeting between the two teams this season. The Warriors are led by sophomore Dallas Birkenbeuel, who leads in kills with 236 and recently reached his 100th dig during a win against Nichols. Birkenbeuel has also contributed with 18 total blocks so far.
Blake Tascher stands out as the only player on the team who has surpassed triple digits in both digs (122) and assists (105) this season. Max Tkachev has added 161 kills and collected 83 digs, providing further depth to the team’s performance.
Reece Lindstrom continues his role as a key setter, accumulating a total of 455 assists after recording another strong showing with 30 assists in a sweep over Nichols on Wednesday. Kyle Standage reached a career milestone last week against American International and now totals 165 digs for the year.
Defensively, Nick Tidik leads Merrimack in blocks with 45, while Jack Johnson follows closely behind at 39 blocks. Freshman Nathaniel Venegas has made an impact early in his collegiate career by reaching up to 23 blocks so far this year.
As both teams prepare for their upcoming contest, players’ individual achievements highlight their contributions throughout the season.
