The Endicott women’s lacrosse team bested Wentworth, 24-1, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Wednesday evening at Hempstead Stadium. 

Alex Palermo (Reading, Mass.) and Clare Wendell (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) paced the Gulls with a game-high four tallies, while Katie Schenk (Southbury, Conn.) notched a hat trick in the dominating victory.

Maegan Courcy (Warwick, N.Y.) and Annabelle Gray (Londonderry, Vt.) found the back of the net twice while, Jaira Paine (Granby, Conn.), Bailey Sheehan (Pomfret, Conn.), Carly Pierce (Exeter, N.H.), Nicole Genga (Marlborough, Conn.), Leah Black (Chesire, Conn.), and Kelsey Sullivan (Nashville, Tenn.) each registered solo tallies, respectively.

In goal, Lydia Akins (Edina, Minn) and Kaitlin Bressette (Annadale, N.J.) split halves in cage, coming up with one and two saves apiece. 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is undefeated in the all-time series versus Wentworth (11-0).
  • Black found the back of the net for the first time in her career. 
  • The Gulls improve to 3-0 at The Nest 
  • Wendell recorded the first multi-goal of her collegiate carer. 

WHAT’S NEXT

Endicott (3-5, 1-0 CCC) travels to Salve Regina on Saturday, April 1 at 3:30 PM. Wentworth (0-5, 0-1 CCC) visits Gordon on Saturday, April 1 at 1 PM.
