The Endicott women's basketball team fell to Eastern Connecticut State University, 72-45, on day one of the Judy Pearson '85 Memorial Tournament, hosted by Babson College, on Friday evening at Staake Gymnasium.
Tara Laugeni (Woodbridge, Conn.) led the Gulls with 11 points
Emily St. Thomas (Sterling, Mass.) and Sarah Dempsey (Windham, N.H.) chipped in 10 and eight points, respectively.
Libby Fleming (Bangor, Maine) rounded out the list of individual highlights with five points and a career-high 12 rebounds.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Tied 18-18 with 8:12 remaining in the second quarter, the Warriors used a 15-4 run to close out the opening half and never looked back.
- There were four lead changes and three ties prior to the 18-18 deadlock.
- Eastern Connecticut (8-3) has won four in a row dating back to December 3.
