Georgetown Public Schools District sees 0.3% increase in graduation rates over 2022-23 school year

Georgetown Public Schools District had a 95.1% graduation rate during the 2022-23 school year, 0.3% higher than the previous school year, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

There were 77 students who graduated in the 2022-23 school year, compared to 92 the year before.

Georgetown Public Schools District and West Bridgewater Public Schools District had the 65th highest graduation rate in the state.

Georgetown Public Schools District roughly covers schools within Essex County and has a main office in Georgetown.

In 2024, public schools in Massachusetts boasted a graduation rate of 90%, according to Public School Review.

However, younger students' proficiency is still lagging behind pre-pandemic levels. NAEP results show that in 2022, less than 47% of the students were considered proficient in math and reading, with eighth-graders performing the worst, reaching only 35% proficiency in math.
