83.4% of Suffolk County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 792,647 citizens living in Suffolk County in 2021, 83.4% were old enough to vote, equating to 661,346 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 317,000 were male, constituting 47.9%, and 344,346 were female, making up 52.1%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Suffolk County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 80.1%.
