Graduation Analysis: 0.8% more students graduated from Whittier Regional Vocational Technical School District in 2022-23 school year

Whittier Regional Vocational Technical School District had a 99.1% graduation rate during the 2022-23 school year, 0.8% higher than the previous school year, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

There were 319 students who graduated in the 2022-23 school year, compared to 286 the year before.

Whittier Regional Vocational Technical School District had the 13th highest graduation rate in the state.

Whittier Regional Vocational Technical School District roughly covers schools within Essex County and has a main office in Haverhill.

In 2024, public schools in Massachusetts boasted a graduation rate of 90%, according to Public School Review.

However, younger students' proficiency is still lagging behind pre-pandemic levels. NAEP results show that in 2022, less than 47% of the students were considered proficient in math and reading, with eighth-graders performing the worst, reaching only 35% proficiency in math.
