Graduation Analysis: 1.6% fewer students graduated from Peabody Public Schools District in 2022-23 school year

Peabody Public Schools District had an 82.7% graduation rate during the 2022-23 school year, 1.6% lower than the previous school year, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

There were 339 students who graduated in the 2022-23 school year, compared to 323 the year before.

Peabody Public Schools District had the 29th lowest graduation rate in the state.

Peabody Public Schools District roughly covers schools within Essex County and has a main office in Peabody.

In 2024, public schools in Massachusetts boasted a graduation rate of 90%, according to Public School Review.

However, younger students' proficiency is still lagging behind pre-pandemic levels. NAEP results show that in 2022, less than 47% of the students were considered proficient in math and reading, with eighth-graders performing the worst, reaching only 35% proficiency in math.
